Within Evergreen, the local denizens of raccoon, bears, foxes, and the like, have built a bustling society. Small townships riddle the landscape, connected by commerce, politics, culture, and a deep connection to the natural world around them.
Historically, powerful groups known as the Ravenous Clans, similar to the wolf packs of King Feris, have held sway over Evergreen. Following the ancient Battle of First Dawn, which freed the land from tyranny, old conflicts remain, and the wilderness continues to embody both danger and resilience—elements that are met with ongoing rebellion, fortitude, and exploration.
Within this society, talents—special abilities linked to nature—are often inherited through bloodlines or developed through dedicated training. These skills demonstrate a profound connection to and mastery of natural forces. Over time, however, the prominence of these talents has diminished, with many perceiving them as folklore preserved by secretive institutions, ancient ruins, and elder traditions.
Life endures across Evergreen despite various challenges. The Mistwood conceals numerous hidden villages, while the Tyr and Brave Rivers facilitate trade through ancient forests and marshlands. High atop the Great Tree of Ostorn’s Crown, a sprawling city exists above the forgotten world below, and to the west, the stormy Cascadia Sea sustains a resilient coastal population whose lives are shaped by tides and historical rivalries.
The diverse communities, factions, colleges, and groups within Evergreen reflect its multifaceted spirit. The region encompasses a range of ideals and perspectives, from The Trust—established during Everild’s rebellion to protect the freedom of its people—to the Seawolves, who command distant archipelagos through strength and strategy.
Beneath these layers of civilization, echoes of the past persist—hidden catacombs, long-lost talents, and ancient relics believed to hold the power to connect to history and influence the future. These elements symbolize the fragile hope that Evergreen’s brighter days may still lie ahead.
